Open Match

Winner: Trev Price (GOT Baits)

3 Hour Evening Match - Thursday Evening Opens

When Trev drew Peg 8, and with no one on 9, Gary Thorpe was heard to say that's it! We're all fishing for 2nd. Gary knew that Trev would fish paste down the edge as there was a more than good chance the fish would already be there for the 3 hour evening match. There was not many that argued with Gary's sentiments.

Trev's record on this venue is awesome, and as the match organizer ( or more like angling ambassador to Alders Farm)  when he gets half a draw he's very hard to beat. To cut a short story even shorter; Trev recorded a fine 3 hour weight of 156lb with Gaza also fishing down the edge on paste for 138lb - Trev reported that age has finally caught up with Gaz and he failed to keep pace with his junior? It seems that Gaz was still resting after his 52lb of Rudd taken in 5hrs during the Intersite Challenge just 2 days ago. Bernie Frasier 134lb (Old Town Angling) fished pellet at 8m to record a fine 3 hour weight and once again the standard of angling was very high at an up and coming venue.

Trevor Price
GOT Baits

Match winner Trevor recorded one of the best weights so far this season in just 3 hours fishing. His weight was a reflection of a blank peg next door and an edge to fish to were the fish could back off without being 'poached' or spooked! The result - 156lb in 3 hours.
