UPDATE - NEW FORMAT

 

After feedback from our members we have decided to alter the AFBR Cup Day format; meaning everyone will get to shoot at least twice. 

 

We have limited the field to 40 members and the morning will now consist of a 2 stage knock out competition. 

 

 

Shooters will be randomly drawn and entered into a 5 way knock out competition. The winner of which will move on to the afternoon competition. This will give us 8 entrants into the afternoon cup comp. 

 

The remaining 32 shooters will be randomly drawn into another 5 way knockout competition; the winners of which will move onto the afternoon competition. 

 

Of course this leaves 2 shooters with no space, and us with 2 spaces in the afternoon comp. So the first 2 names drawn from the hat for round 2 will win Golden Tickets / Wildcards straight to the afternoon knock out competition. 

 

 

 

The Afternoon competition will be a traditional 1v1 knockout competition (drawn randomly and then winners progressing) until we have our winner (and 2nd and 3rd places). 

 

 

Because of these changes we will be running a strict timing policy. For the morning rounds you will have 15 minutes to get in, shoot your card, and get out. To facilitate this there will be a filling area set up separately - and assistance can be given to anyone who requires it to get set up and in, in a timely manner. 

 

The afternoon sessions will be 20 minutes. 

 

Other plans remain unchanged - there will be lunch provided, sponsors kicking about, and access to the outdoor range. 

 

Our main hope is that our members get to meet each other, put names to faces, and have some fun! What better than a summer day spent shooting with friends (Medals and Prizes being the cherry on top)!
